Couples can choose from the Gazebo, overlooking an apple orchard and the North Downs; the Meadow, a golden field framed by ancient oaks; or the Barn itself, which blends agricultural heritage with a clean, contemporary finish and comfortably hosts up to 200 guests for ceremony and reception, while remaining equally suited to more intimate celebrations. For religious ceremonies, the Norman church of St Peter and St Paul in nearby Peasmarsh is just a short stroll away. A 48-hour exclusive dry-hire allows ample time for setup, celebration, and breakdown, creating a relaxed planning experience. Supporting spaces include the White Room, a calm place to get ready or adapt as a crèche or green room for performers or suppliers, a fully equipped professional kitchen available for chosen caterers, and private on-site parking. We attended a showcase hosted by Mel and Steve early in our planning which helped us immensely and was a rare opportunity to meet caterers and try some samples before booking. Mel is so experienced, knows almost all the local suppliers, and was able to offer invaluable recommendations that made the whole planning process easier.
The venue itself is stunning as is the surrounding countryside – it is truly a beautiful place to get married. The venue also provides an ideal private setting for the day. The back room for the bride to get ready is so conveniently accessible all day, and the lawn provided the perfect safe place for children who attended to play.
